Race Tier List

Race in Blue Heater 2 is permanent. There is no potion, no Sunshine Town vendor, and no Bleeder Bit spend that will turn a Human into a Demon. You pick in character creation, you keep the passive until you delete the slot, and every later weapon and build decision sits on top of that lock. That is why this page sits above gear lists: a perfect Ragnarok Axe on the wrong lineage is still the wrong lineage.

Frank Development shipped seven options. Three of them feed kills back into a combat resource. One of them feeds heals. Two of them feed movement. One of them feeds gold you mostly already get from selling loot. Rank the kill-feeders first unless you already have a party that will carry an Elf.

Why the lock matters more than cosmetics

Horns, halos, ears, and tails are the easy part. Demon shows twisted horns, Enlightened a portal halo, Fenris dog ears and a tail, Elf long points, Lapin bunny ears, Nekorata cat ears. None of that changes damage. Soul Reaper, Mana Harvest, Predator’s Instinct, Nature’s Grace, Feline Agility, Hopper’s Rush, and Golden Touch do. If you reroll looks, you are not rerolling power.

Because the game is a live Roblox action RPG with online team-up, you can still play “off-meta” in a four-stack. You cannot do that as a first solo slot and expect Flywood packs, Silent Snowfields, and Desert of Death to feel the same. New players should read getting started after this page, not instead of it.

S-tier: Enlightened and Demon

Enlightened — Mana Harvest, +5% mana on kill. This is the mage race and the default recommendation if you have no identity yet. Staff skills eat Focus. After Silent Snowfields, Focus only grants 3 mana per point (it used to grant 5), so a kill refund is not flavor, it is how you keep casting when the pool is smaller. Pair it with the Mage Burst spread on the build rankings page: 50 Intelligence / 30 Focus / 20 Vitality. Skip Strength. Skip Dexterity. You are not a hybrid until Ragnarok, and even then Enlightened still wants Intelligence first.

Enlightened is weaker if you insist on a pure melee loop with no spells. Mana Harvest does nothing while you auto a Stick. If your hands want a scythe, pick Demon instead of forcing a staff you will not press.

Demon — Soul Reaper, +5% HP on kill. Best solo sustain in the game. Pack rooms in Flywood, desert trash, and Lotus Lands hallway pulls all pay you back in health. Scythe is the dream weapon because multi-target hits create more corpses per second, which means more Soul Reaper ticks. Sword is the backup if you like a tighter moveset. Stat spine is 50 Strength / 30 Vitality / 20 Dexterity. You still want some Vitality because 5% of a tiny pool is still a tiny heal; 10 HP per Vitality point after the rework makes that pool real.

Demon is S-tier for farming and A-tier-feeling on a single tanky boss if you cannot proc kills. Bring a party member or a burst mage for Orian-style fights where the corpse clock stops. Do not pick Demon and then dump Intelligence “for hybrid.” Soul Reaper does not scale with magic.

A-tier: Fenris

Fenris — Predator’s Instinct, +10% crit for 5 seconds after a kill, 10 second cooldown. This is the dagger and rapier race. Fast weapons convert the short window into extra hits, which is why Fenris plus Dexterity is the highest single-target profile on the weapon rankings page. The cooldown is the whole balance story: you cannot chain the buff forever, so you want a kill, a burst, and a dodge, not a slow claymore swing that wastes the 5 seconds.

Copy 50 Dexterity / 25 Agility / 25 Vitality. Agility is here because Fenris lives on stamina dodges (15 stamina) and you are not wearing Demon health. Vitality is not optional; crit does not matter if a desert knight one-shots you. Fenris can splash onto mage crit in theory. In practice, Enlightened still wins staff. Leave Fenris on Dexterity steel unless you are theory-crafting on an alt.

Fenris is a poor first character if controls still feel slippery on mobile. The race assumes you already dodge on time. If you do not, Demon will get you further with worse highlight-reel numbers.

B-tier: Elf in groups, Nekorata on kites

Elf — Nature’s Grace, heal 10% of your HP when you heal others. The group support race, and it is honest about that. Solo, the passive is almost off. In a dungeon stack it is the reason people stop dropping on AoE phases. Staff is the tool; 40 Vitality / 30 Focus / 30 Intelligence is the Tank Healer tree. You are not trying to beat Enlightened on kill time. You are trying to keep the Demon and the Fenris standing on bosses.

If your friends never log in, do not main Elf. Make the healer on a second slot once the combat main can buy its own Iron gear.

Nekorata — Feline Agility, +50% stamina regen. Kiting race. Stamina already regenerates at 5% of max per second; this is the kit that turns that into extra dashes through spear pokes and desert sand. It does not add damage. You still have to pick Strength, Dexterity, or Intelligence like everyone else, which means Nekorata is a movement suffix on a real build, not a build by itself. Strong in locations that punish standing still, weak in a DPS meter argument.

C-tier and D-tier: Lapin and Human

Lapin — Hopper’s Rush, double jump costs no stamina. Double jump normally costs 20 stamina. Lapin deletes that bill. It is nice in vertical rooms and on mount approaches where you still hop before you saddle. It is not a combat plan. Take it if you already know you want a movement gimmick and you accept slower clears.

Human — Golden Touch, +25% gold drop from enemies. Worst combat race. Gold in Blue Heater 2 is mostly from selling loot, not from the coins that pop off corpses, so a drop-rate rider does not buy your way out of a missing sustain passive. Human will struggle on the first real quest boss compared with Demon or Enlightened. Park Human as a vendor alt if you enjoy extra coins. Do not make it the slot you take into Lotus Lands.

Match the race before you spend Bits

Bleeder Bits reset stats, not lineage. They also roll companions, which are cosmetic. Spend Bits on a tree that matches the race you already locked. Enlightened with 50 Strength is a wasted reset. Demon with 50 Intelligence is the same waste in the other direction.

Starter route that does not fight this list: create Enlightened or Demon, grab the matching Iron weapon in Queenstown, follow leveling until Silent Snowfields, then decide if you need a Fenris or Elf alt for party nights. Check Lotus Lands notes before you delete a slot in a panic; floor-4 drops (Zetsukai, Metsurai) still want the same passives you picked on day one.

Race cannot be respecced. If this slot is already Human, keep it as a gold seller and roll a combat main. Deleting the character is the only lineage swap, and the tier list hub is the page to reread before you click that confirm.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Blue Heater 2 questions.

What is the best race in Blue Heater 2?

Enlightened for staff burst, Demon for solo physical sustain. Both are S-tier on this list. Fenris is the A-tier crit pick if you already like daggers; see build rankings for the spreads.

Can I change my race later?

No. Race is permanent. Bleeder Bits at Sunshine Town only reset stats. Switching lineage means deleting the character and starting over.

Is Elf ever worth it?

Yes, in a party that actually takes bosses together. Nature's Grace does nothing if you never heal another player, so solo Elf is a trap.

Why is Human ranked last?

Golden Touch boosts gold drops, but most gold comes from selling loot. You give up kill sustain and still do not get rich. Park Human as an alt on the players hub, not as a combat main.

Which race should I pair with Ragnarok Axe?

Demon if you still want Soul Reaper while you swing the hybrid. Enlightened if you cast through the magic half. Details sit on weapon rankings and the tier list hub.

Do Nekorata and Lapin scale into Lotus Lands?

They stay movement races. Floor 4 still wants damage and sustain. Read Lotus Lands for the chase weapons, then put those on Enlightened, Demon, or Fenris instead.
